ABOUT US:
Paul Squire has always had a knack for fixing things, and his passion for it only grew stronger over the years. With over 35 years of experience under his belt, he brought a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his role as Director of Squire Plant Services Ltd. His passion for all things mechanical drove him to continually innovate and excel in his field.
Paul's early career path began as one of the pioneering students in the Government MAA (Modern Apprenticeship) with Cambridge Regional College and Marshalls Vehicle Training Scheme. Undertaking a three-year vehicle apprenticeship in such a structured program laid a solid foundation for his subsequent career in mechanics and servicing.
His journey reflected his strong commitment to professional growth and excellence. He decided to learn all about fixing heavy vehicles and refrigeration systems, showcasing his versatility. With these skills, he could help out in many different areas where mechanical know-how was important. His decision to pursue specialized training in HGV servicing and repairs, along with his dedication to refrigeration training, highlighted his versatility and determination to broaden his skill set.
Paul attained a Master's qualification, the highest level in his field, during his tenure at Ford's main workshop, which spoke volumes about his depth of knowledge and commitment to automotive mechanics. Achieving this level of certification demanded extensive training, hands-on experience, and a profound understanding of advanced concepts, all which Paul possesses.
His role overseeing a workshop for a major plant hire company highlighted his considerable expertise and leadership in the field of mechanics and servicing. Being responsible for maintaining, servicing, and repairing such a diverse range of industrial machinery, which totalled approximately 150 different items of plant, was no small feat.
The variety of equipment he had under his supervision, from disc cutters to large excavators and dump trucks, demonstrated Paul's broad skill set and ability to handle a wide array of machinery. This included both smaller equipment like wackers and mixers, as well as heavy-duty machinery such as micro diggers and dump trucks.
In this role, Paul ensured equipment was well-maintained and operational, minimizing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly. With his extensive experience and expertise, it was no surprise that Paul, alongside his business partner Michael, decided to start their own company, SQUIRE PLANT LTD, to deliver top-notch service to their clients.
